Locations are presented in the order they first appeared in the episodes, with all subsequent revisits to that place grouped together for the sake of tidiness. Timings given are based on the Blu-ray editions and all episode images are sourced from these discs. Please note that Blu-ray grabs have been regraded to highlight details of the filming locations and are not representative of the actual look of the Blu-rays, which are graded appropriately.

"Jeff's Office"

ADAMS FURNITURE
SPRINGFIELD ROAD
HARROW
MIDDLESEX HA1

Identified by:
Andy Hulse

(06:43) Establishing shot of Jeff's Vauxhall Victor parked outside the Randall and Hopkirk offices.

(48:16) Establishing shot (identical to the first).

Since Filming: The Randall and Hopkirk offices are long gone, demolished in August 1985 to make way for a new development. The grass verge seen in the 1993 photograph represents the approximate point at which the offices stood. This too has also now gone and Jeff and Marty's offices are now under concrete, following the building in 1996 of a new shopping centre.

Also appeared in:
Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased)
- 'My Late Lamented Friend and Partner', 'But What a Sweet Little Room', 'The Trouble With Women', 'Whoever Heard of a Ghost Dying', 'When the Spirit Moves You', 'Never Trust a Ghost' and others

"The Buttery"

VILLAGE ROAD
DENHAM
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE UB9

Identified by:
Andrew Pixley, Anthony McKay
and Mike Richardson

(07:49) James McAllister arrives on his motorbike in the village near Crake Castle.

Spotter's Note: Denham Village is picturesque and charming but it struggles for parking space. Cars routinely double and even triple park, making photographing matching shots a challenge. When a scene for Matilda the Musical was filmed here in 2021, the village had to be cleared of all vehicles for two days. Ironically, the scene was not used in the finished production!

Also appeared in:
Saber of London -
'The Killer and The Kid'
Man in a Suitcase -
'All That Glitters'
The Avengers -
'Return of the Cybernauts'
The Champions -
'Project Zero'

(07:59) ...and the sign above the door tells us what we can enjoy within.

Spotter's Note: 'The Buttery' is actually known as The Old Store. It is no longer a gallery (as it was when our cameras visited in 2011). The present owners applied for and were granted a change of use from commercial to residential. The building is listed, so elements like the bullseye windows must be retained and the glass has been obscured using self-adhesive film on the inside.

We at Randall and Hopkirk (Declassified) are grateful to the owners for  kindly offering to move their cars to allow clear shots for our site.

"Laura Slade's Cottage"

THE THATCHED COTTAGE
SLADE OAK LANE
DENHAM
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE UB9

Identified by:
Anthony McKay

(13:15) Larry Wentworth drives up to and parks in the drive of his mistress Laura Slade's cottage. Jeff has followed him on surveillance and slowly pulls into the drive a little way behind him.

Spotter's Note: The cottage that doubled as Laura's Slade's home in For the Girl Who Has Everything is little seen in television in film. However, it features in My Week with Marilyn (2011) as Marilyn Monroe's  intended residence while in the UK for filming - though due to an information leak she is settled elsewhere.

"The Duke of Cumberland"

CHURCH LANE &
STONY LANE
LATIMER
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE HP5

Identified by:

Also appeared in:

(21:42) The camera pan holds on the pub, The Duke of Cumberland.

Spotter's Note: This panning shot was originally filmed from an elevated position, just under the sparse canopy of the tree. This is no longer possible as the canopy is lower and denser. In addition, a row of willow trees has been planted along the far edge of the green and as a result, even from a lower angle, the 'pub' is now largely hidden from view.

Since Filming: The building doubling as The Duke of Cumberland public house was actually the village post office, now converted to residential use.

Spotter's Note: The property which is prominent in this shot and the following views of Denham is 'The Old Bakery'. It is more extensively hidden by foliage than in 1968 and the gateway to the property has been widened on the right hand side.

(44:40) The Police Sergeant makes his way back to the station, where the coroner's inquest into the death of Larry Wentworth is underway.

Spotter's Note: The wall seen in the background has been significantly altered. The gateway has been moved to the right, widened and furnished with gateposts and larger and fancier gates. The buildings attached to the walls have been altered in proportion in order to effect this change. These works took place prior to 2008.
