Locations are presented in the order they first appeared in the episodes, with all subsequent revisits to that place grouped together for the sake of tidiness. Timings given are based on the Blu-ray editions and all episode images are sourced from these discs. Please note that Blu-ray grabs have been regraded to highlight details of the filming locations and are not representative of the actual look of the Blu-rays, which are graded appropriately.

Spotter's Note: As filming for this episode took place in the 22-acre New Southgate Cemetery, we have split this listing and the separate one for Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave (Location 1) into filming sites - marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 - to make them easier for visitors to find. The Section letters on the map above refer to the designations given to the areas by the cemetery administrators.

Spotter's Note: The site of Marty's grave was in the small area of Section B that had not been used for burials at the time of filming, making it ideal for the filming. The first graves here were dug in 1979 with the vast majority dated that year and 1980.

(46:20) Jeff and Hellingworth fight it out.

Spotter's Note: Locating exactly where this was filmed was particular problematic. The two trees seen on screen have been felled and, along with the absence of graves at the time of filming, this means there are no obvious clues or reference points to work from... Or are there..? In fact, there is a third tree in the centre, lurking in the deep shadows of the background which is visible on your TV if you turn the brightness way up. Its shape is distinctive and that tree is still there, on the edge of Section C of the cemetery. A publicity shot exists which features Purley and Marty at the latter's grave which luckily shows the same three trees. Using these clues, it was possible to deduce the original camera position had to be almost exactly where Purley stood while he was exorcising Marty, filming the fight on the far side of Section B on a long lens.

Since Filming: The walls seen behind Hellingworth have been removed and the area was initially given over to cultivation. This area was remodelled in 2023 and is now a memorial area complete with a stone bench, but it is not what it seems at first. Two of the memorials are dated 2000 and 2007 which ought to strike visitors as curious. This area was actually developed as a showcase so that people can see the range of memorials that the cemetery can offer.

Spotter's Note: See how the ivy is now growing on two of the monuments seen in this shot? A little to the right of this is where the majority of filming took place for Somebody Just Walked Over My Grave (Site 1 on its locations page).
