suggesting that the copywriters were interested in their
mainstream profile at the time of the VHS releases. Jason
was by then famous for a series of sitcoms including

transmissions in 1969. The cover
and spine included prominent mentions of this fact.

Purchasers of this video
cassette were offered the
opportunity to buy a Randall and Hopkirk t-shirt.
Interestingly, it was marketed by a company called Network
Ltd, a name which would later become synonymous with ITC
home entertainment releases in the UK. This advert was
printed on the sleeve reverse of this volume and was also included in
Volumes Eight, Nine and Ten:

This was the
final video cassette of
Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) issued in ITC
Entertainment Group Ltd packaging. The cover made no
mention of the company's new owners, the Netherlands-based
record company PolyGram, who had bought out ITC in January
1995. The sale price was reputedly £100 million.
Unfortunately, ITC Home Video was seen as collateral damage
and closed with job losses since PolyGram had a pre-existing
video arm of their own.
Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased): Volume Ten was one of the last two VHS
releases issued under the ITC name, the other being The Saint: The
Better Mousetrap / The King of the Beggars (ITC 1045)
which was made available on the same day.

and Volume Twelve were the first continuing series Randall and
Hopkirk (Deceased) releases since February 1995,
and were the first to carry the branding of ITC's new owners PolyGram.
-
PolyGram's decision to
up the number of episodes per volume compared to their ITC
Entertainment forebears had side effects: they only had
room in the design template to refer to The Ghost Who
Saved the Bank at Monte Carlo as The Ghost Who
Saved the Bank on both the front and back cover, and
the addition of a "Bonus Episode Included" flash led to
awkward placing of the BBFC certification symbol.
