• This first DVD of Danger Man episodes from Carlton Video got off to a slightly inauspicious start by using the logo from the later hour-long episodes on the discs and packaging and, less understandably, giving the series name on the spine as 'Dangerman'. This was corrected for the subsequent volumes.

• Another innovation for the second DVD and beyond was to include eight 25-minute Danger Man episodes rather than just four. This was presumably to encourage people who had bought on VHS that DVD represented better value.

• This box set version of the 1959-1960 episodes of Danger Man saw the final 11 episodes (contained on Discs 5 and 6) receive their DVD debut.

• Due to an oversight that appears not to have been addressed, this DVD set was issued with a Parental Guidance (PG) certification despite the episode The Contessa being rated 12 by the BBFC on 6 March 2002.

• As with Carlton Video's individual releases of these half-hour Danger Man episodes, the logo used was that designed for the later hour-long episodes.

• Carlton's presentation of episodes on this DVD set followed Danger Man's London transmission order.

• Network's presentation of episodes on this DVD set followed Danger Man's original production order.

• Although the set claimed to feature uncut versions of all 47 episodes that form Danger Man's 1964-1966 incarnation, one episode proved to be marginally less than complete. The print included of Not So Jolly Roger ran one second short, omitting the final sentence Drake delivers to Corrigan (Wilfrid Lawson) near the end of the episode: "Good idea, this pirate station, wasn't it? Pop music till midnight. Military secrets by special request." This cut had previously affected the DeAgostini partwork DVD issued on 24 October 2006.

• After this cut was highlighted on Roobarb's Forum and The Mausoleum Club internet forums, Australian video label Madman, in association with Granada International Archives, tracked down a complete print and included it on their own DVD set of the one-hour episodes - Danger Man: The Complete 1964-66 Series (MMB608, 2008). Incidentally the VHS version published by the ITC Entertainment Group Ltd in 1992 (Danger Man - Number 3, ITC 0735) was fully complete.
